				Lost when the steamship Lord Charlemontwas torpedoed and sunk in the Mediterranean on April 18th, 1918.
John was born in Hartlepool in 1890, son of John Keasey, a drayman, and Phoebe Jane Keasey (nee Bowes). He was one of five surviving children from a total of seven.
 In 1911 he was living with his parents at 27, William Street, Hartlepool, and is recorded at this time as being an Apprentice Engine Fitter at a local engineering works. 
In his will he left £192-14s-7d to his father.
