				Lost on the steamship Windermere.
Rudolf Kruse was born in Holstein, Germany, in 1880, his father being Jachim Kruse.
On November 23rd, 1910, Rudolf (listed as a Ship's Steward), married widow Rose Emma Blyth, their address being given as No.10, Anson Street, West Hartlepool.
The 1911 Census records Emma living at No.12, Derwent Street, West Hartlepool, with her two daughters, Emma (aged 18, a Barmaid at a Hotel), and 11-year-old Elsie Blyth. As there is no mention of Rudolf, it is likely he was away at sea at this time.
It is recorded that at the time of his loss, his address was No.34, Archer Street, West Hartlepool.
