On 25 December 1969 during heavy weather Horis was damaged in her No 1 hold & was repaired at Surabaya, Indonesia. On 28 December she developed a leak & although efforts were made to pump her out she had to be abandoned on 29 December 1969 in the Celebes Sea in 03.53N/119.23E where she capsized & sank.
