At sea in a storm aboard the "Konavli" (ex-Irish Hazel)

I was a sailor in 1969 on Irish Hazel/Konavli. I sailed from Croatia through the Mediterranean Sea across the Atlantic to the U.S.A. I was very impressed the way the ship was built, we were in a hurricane during the Atlantic crossing. The ship handled remarkably well through high seas. During the storm I was selected to be at the helm in rotation with the bridge officers.
