Fate

The steamship City of Bath was torpedoed and sunk by the German submarine U-508 (Georg Staats), off Venezuela, on December 2nd, 1942. The ship was on a voyage from Mombasa to the UK, with a cargo of copper, magnesite, chrome ore and general cargo. Master Thomas Victor Berkett.
