Fate

The West Hartlepool-registered steamship Rosebank was torpedoed and sunk by the German submarine UC-73 (Kurt Schapler), 120 miles north of Benghazi, on May 31st, 1917. The ship was on a voyage from Port Said to Malta. 2 crew were lost and the Master was taken prisoner.
