'Little India' as it was known locally was demolished around 1984 and consisted of Aden, Bombay, Calcutta and Durban Groves. It was an area where some of the people of 'Wagga' were rehoused following the demolition of parts of Hill St, Florence St and Portland St.
'Little India' gradually became an area with problems before it was demolished. There is grassland and bushes today where the houses stood.
