Voyages: 1845 Hartlepool for Hamburg

On a voyage from Gluckstadt for Newcastle-on-Tyne in ballast & with a crew of eight Dawsonstranded on Redcar Rocks & was lost on 23 November 1869.  Six of the crew were rescued by the lifeboat Burton-on-Trent. Two lives lost when trying to reach shore in the ship’s boat. The wreck was sold for £300 to be broken up.
