Fate

The Belgian steamship Londonier was torpedoed and sunk by the German submarine UC-71 (Cdr. Walter Warzecha), in the English Channel on March 18th, 1918. The ship was on a voyage from Calais to Barry, probably in ballast. Master - G. Degryse.

One life was lost: Griffiths, Percy Charles, signalman, 18, Paddington, London
