Fate

The British steamship Miniota was torpedoed and sunk by U-19 (Johannes Spieb) off Start Point, on 31st August, 1917. The ship was on a voyage from Montreal to Portland with a general cargo cargo including munitions & 50 tons of aluminium. Master W.P. Hains. Three crewmen were lost.
