Troutpool - Lives lost 1940On a voyage from Rosario for Glasgow with a cargo of grain Troutpool left Belfast Lough on 20 July 1940 & struck a mine & sank off Bangor Pier Light. The wreck was disposed of by dredging a hole causing the wreck to collapse into the cavity. 11 lives lost. (CWGC gives 12 names)
