Torpedoed and sunk by U-30, (Kapitanleutnant Fritz Julius Lemp), in the North Atlantic, 57.30N/17.14W, on August 16th, 1940. On voyage from Liverpool to Bombay with general cargo. Hungarian ship KELLET (ex TREGARTHEN (II), built by J. Readheads in 1913,) picked up 35 survivors. She was also sunk by U-30, only 18 of CLAN MACPHEE crew survived.
