Fate

The Irvine's-built steamship Akassa was torpedoed and sunk by the German submarine UC-33, 8 miles south-east of Galley Head, on the south coast of Ireland, on August 13th, 1917.

Seven crew were lost: Davies, Tom; Harrison, M; Kwofie, Ben; Morrison, T.R.; Newton, Joseph; Quayson, T.B.; Seabreeze.
